in Paris!

June the 5th 2013 the Festival “Italia in Corto” arrives in Paris,
established and promoted by the association “Altritaliani”(www.altritaliani.net)The festival will promote Italian film and culture by showing short films in the French capital.
“Italia in corto” stimulates discussion about the role of Italian culture in the world and its meaning.
The Italians of “Altritaliani” have decided to promote this cultural event with a very Italian concept: The Cortomobile
What is it?
It is “the smallest cinema in the world” established inside a vintage car: The Alfa Romeo 2000 from 1974. It is a cinema on four wheels which can hold two audience members at once, or four children, which projects short films from the Cortomenù (a choice of more than 70 titles divided into antipasti, starters, main courses and cinedesserts!) from Hulot Distribution. The projector is placed on the car's boot, the maroon satin curtains are lowered down over the windows, the two audience members are sat on the comfortable leather back seats and the screen for the film is rolled down in front of their eyes, and voilà! A tiny cinema!
The Cortomobile itself will promote “Italia in Corto” around Paris.
Imagine arriving at the Gare de Lyon or under the Eiffel Tower and taking part in the screening of a new Italian short film in a tiny room with everybody outside speaking French. Imagine the surprise of the Parisians as they step into this car which forms part of the story of Italian design.
The Altritaliani association, unfortunately, do not have the economic means to support the entire project. The journey from Italy to France in a vintage car like the Alfa 2000 is expensive. This is why we are asking the future audiences of the smallest cinema in Paris, and all lovers of cinema and short film, to participate in this promotional campaign to bring a slice of Italian cinema abroad.
The € 1550,00. needed will be divided as follows:
– Cost of petrol for the journey from Trieste to Paris and back € 900,00.
– Motorway tolls during the journey from Italy to Paris and back including the vignette for Switzerland (€ 36,00.) € 156.40.
– Bed and board for four nights in a motel to break up the 1251 km journey €300
– Cost of petrol for the promotion of the festival in Paris € 200,00.
Donations to the project can be made with a minimum of € 3,00. up to the maximum donation of €100,00. For example, by giving € 5.00, the price of a reduced fare in a normal cinema, you will get a postcard of the Cortomobile and a good glass of Italian red wine.
It participates in the project with a minimum donation of € 3.00. (Reward fridge magnet 1) up to a maximum of € 100.00. (1 Ciak autographed Cortomobile + 2 T Shirt Cortomobile different subjects + 1 USB 8 GB with 12 shorts + set fridge magnet).
For example, donating € 5.00 as the cost of a reduced fare of traditional cinema will reward you with a postcard of Cortomobile, a fridge magnet depicting the Alfa 2000 and two glasses of a good Italian red wine. With a bid of € 15.00. As a reward you will have a fridge magnet Cortomobile, 1 T-Shirt Cortomobile model n° 1 and a postcard.
The winners of the Audience Award for "Italy in Short" will be distributed "on the road" from the mobile cinema Cortomobile throughout 2014.
